The smallest of the Dallas Police Department's six patrol divisions, Central Operations covers 13.77 square miles. Central Operations is home to over 93,000 Dallas residents. That number swells each business day as thousands of commuters pour into the Central Business District enroute to their respective places of employment.
The Department's Central Operations facility is located at 334 S. Hall Street, near the intersection of Hall and Canton. Over 260 sworn officers and 19 civilians are assigned to the Central substation.
The Central Division is home to several entertainment venues such as The West End, American Airlines Center and Deep Ellum. Other sites include the Morton Meyerson complex as well as the Dallas Museum of Art. The men and women of the Central Operations Division take pride in making the downtown area and its surrounding communities safe places to live, work and play.
